   Wayne Unze, a Vaughan Company Senior Vice President, is manager and broker for the company's Business Opportunities Division which specializes in the evaluation, marketing and sale of existing businesses and franchises.  Unze consults with business owners throughout New Mexico, and is an "expert witness" for court-ordered evaluations.  Prior to brokering businesses, Unze served eight years as executive vice president of Mickelson Media Inc., negotiating more than $40 million in Cable TV acquisitions, while managing fourteen Cable TV systems.

   Unze started a business brokerage company in 1982, and merged the eight-agent firm with the Vaughan Company, New Mexico's largest independent real estate company, in 1987.   During his twenty-three-year business brokerage career, Unze has assisted in more than 750 business sale transactions and performed nearly 5,000 business evaluations.  

   Unze began his business career managing chambers of commerce in Minnesota.  He has maintained his involvement, serving as past chairman of  the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Small Business Roundtable and was founder and facilitator of the highly-acclaimed Executive Roundtable program...a program he created to assist small business owners.

   Unze has given dozens of seminars and has written scores of articles dealing with entrepreneurism.  He recently was co-panelist on a nationwide teleconference to the American Bar Association on the topic, “Representing The Seller Of A Family Business”.  Unze and his wife, Maggie (an Albuquerque Realtor), reside in the North Valley next to the Nature Center.
